Choose the right board for the day
Our all-around boards are steady enough for first outings and responsive enough for a relaxed morning loop. If you are carrying a small dry bag, sharing the water with a child, or planning a longer shoreline glide, tell us what you have in mind before you arrive. That context helps us set you up with the right deck, paddle length, leash, and personal flotation equipment.
For calm water, comfort matters more than chasing the lightest board. A wider deck can make a first session feel noticeably calmer, while a slightly longer shape tracks well when you want to cover distance. We keep the choice practical, then check the fit at the dock so the equipment feels like an invitation rather than a test.
What a rental includes
Your rental includes a board, adjustable paddle, leash, properly fitted personal flotation device, and a short orientation covering launch technique, turning, stopping, and what to do if you fall. The orientation is intentionally hands-on: a few minutes of useful information can make the whole outing more relaxed.
Bring water, sun protection, a towel, and clothing you can move in. Secure anything important inside a small dry bag, keep your phone in a waterproof case, and leave bulky valuables at home. We want your setup to stay light so you can notice the breeze, the birds, and the changing color of the river.

Plan for a little breathing room around your water time. The extra minutes are useful for fitting gear, checking the wind, and starting with a calm first stroke.
