Water enthusiasts of all ages and expertise are invited to join us in the first inaugural Bay Bridge Paddle, open to Stand Up Paddleboards, Kayaks and other paddle craft.
Launching from the iconic Sandy Point Park in Annapolis, MD, there will be something for everyone. Events will include an Elite 8.4 mile course that traverses the Chesapeake Bay while paddling underneath the Bay Bridge, one of the world’s longest open water structures and a truly unique experience. There will also be a 5K Open race for intermediate paddlers, and a fun filled recreation course closer to the beach area for novices (children and adults). In addition, there will be other fun events to entertain paddlers of all skill levels.

Seoptember 30, Ian Wasti starts a 4 day, 250 mile journey where he will run, bike and paddleboard across the mid Atlantic starting in Winchester, VA and ending in Rehobeth, DE.
Ian's quest asks volunteers to pledge an act of kindness, which will be funded by sponsor donations. 27 volunteer acts have been pledged to date.
Sunrise SUP is excited to Sponsor Ian and we will be paddling with Ian across the Chesapeake Bay Friday morning, October 2nd. Ian has been training hard all summer and we're excited to help him complete a part of his journey.

Please join us at the Maryland Seafood Festival for the inaugural Paddle for Betterment held 9:30 AM on Sunday, September 13 at Sandy Point Park. First time paddlers and experienced racers of all ages can enjoy a family friendly paddle event at an iconic Chesapeake Bay destination. Take to the water by standup paddleboard, kayak or other paddle carft; anyone with a paddle is welcome to enter!
Paddle individual courses to collect playing cards. Choose which courses to compete, you decide how competitive to make your day; courses will vary in difficulty from beginner to advanced. Anyone can win and the more courses you paddle, the greater your chances to receive a winning card and take home some great new gear.
Participants get free admission to the Seafood Festival, an event shirt, 2 beer tickets (if over 21) and an after race brunch provided by Stan & Joe's. For beer lovers, we have Maryland micro brews and a custom Firkin cask brewed exclusively for the race by Heavy Seas Brewery. After the party, stow your gear and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the festival, there will be great food, live music and fun events for the family.
All proceeds go to The Foundation for Community Betterment, an organization focused on making an immediate impact in the lives of local individuals and organizations.

After the party, stow your gear and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the festival. There will be great food, music and fun events for the family. Live music will be provided by a diverse mix of bands including The Danny Burns Band from 12 - 1, The Shawn Owens Band from 1 to 3, Chanssez from 3:30 - 4:30 and the Kelly Bell Band from 5:30 - 7:00.
In addition to all the food vendors who will have booths on-site, there are food events all day. There will be $1 oyster, $1 microbrew tastings from 1 to 5, a corn on the cob eating contest, a crab picking contest, a crab cake eating contest and cooking classes provided by WIlliams-Sonoma.
Throughout the day, there will be lots of fun activities including Life-Size Foosball, XPOGO Pogo Stick Stunt Show Performances, the Annapolis Crab Derby Race, an inflatable bounce house, Chesapeake Bay Foundation activities and a 150 foot zip line! Sunrise Sup and Mantra Fit will be onsite providing Surfset, Indo Board and Evolve paddleboard demos and workouts.
